The Glatt Multi‑Pan Coater (GMPC) is specifically designed for research and development, where it is used for coating tablets with aqueous or organic film‑coating suspensions.

As an additional option, sugar-coating of cores with syrup is also possible. Its compact design, the containment option and the GMP-compliant construction make the Glatt Multi‑Pan an exceptionally versatile coater.

Special Features:

Interchangeable drums

Thanks to the simple drum‑change system, the GMPC II can handle batch sizes from 0.9 L to 56 L.

Compact design and functional layout

All necessary system components, especially the inlet and exhaust air units, are integrated into a single machine housing. This ensures easy installation as a pilot-scale unit.

Tablet Coating Process

The drum coating process is suitable for coating and refining tablets, minitablets and capsules.

During the drum coating process, the tablets, capsules or minitablets are moved gently and in a controlled manner in a drum where the coating is applied. The key is to distribute the coating material as evenly as possible. This is ensured by the appropriate spray equipment and homogeneous mixing.
